Rollin’ It

An Accessible Dice Roller for Every Party Member

UX • Visual Design • Branding • Prototype

Overview

Every adventuring party deserves a chance to roll. Rollin’ It is a mobile dice roller crafted for tabletop gamers with fine motor limitations — offering a clean, gesture-based experience designed to keep everyone in the game. Whether you're a seasoned DM or a brand-new bard, this app makes sure the dice are always in reach.

My Role

  • UX + UI design for the full experience

  • Branding and visual design with a playful fantasy feel

  • Interaction design focused on ease-of-use and clarity

  • Prototyping and user testing to ensure accessibility stayed center stage

Design Priorities

  • Gesture-Based Input: Roll a d20 with just a tap, swipe, or shake — no tiny interface saves

  • High-Contrast Visuals: Designed for visibility in dim taverns or bright conventions alike

  • Simplified Flow: No stat blocks to sort — just select your die and roll

Core Features

  • Quick-pick for standard dice sets (d4 through d20)

  • Multi-dice rolling for spellcasters and rogues who really need that sneak attack

  • Clean roll history so no one fudges the math

  • Custom color themes to match your alignment (or mood)

Reflection

Rollin’ It was born from a love of tabletop games and a belief that accessibility should never be a critical fail. It proved to me that inclusive tools can still be fun, beautiful, and tailored for adventure.
